St. John's - Cape Dorset, Nunavut

Cape Dorset (Kinngait "mountains" to the Inuit) is along the northwest shore of Dorset Island; surrounded on one side by rocky hills and on the other by Hudson Strait. Cape Dorset has been called the Inuit art capital of the world. Like most communities in Nunavut, Cape Dorset has winding gravel roads, small wooden houses, schools, stores, hotels, a nursing station, government offices and churches.

The Anglican Church was constructed in 1951 and the mission house was built in 1960 and an extension was added in 1965.

This parish has been without clergy for a number of years.
