St. Michael's and All Angels - Qikiqtarjuaq, Nunavut

Qikiqtarjuaq sits off the coast of Baffin Island and is often called "the iceberg capital of the North". The community recently changed its name from Broughton Island to Qikiqtarjuaq, which means "big island" in Inuktitut. Hunting and fishing are important aspects of daily life and families often spend much of their time on the land during spring and summer.

The Anglican Church was built in 1964 before the establishment of a mission station. A rectory was added in 1967.

The parish is currently being lead by Deacon Loasie Kooneeluisie.
