A long long way up north beyond the tree line, on the south east side of Victoria Island in the Arctic Ocean at 69 degrees, 06' 59" North latitude, 105 degrees 03' 34" West longitude. It is 960 air km (600 statute mi) NE of Yellowknife. Population as of the 2006 census was 1477. Average annual precipitation is 6.9 cm of rain (2.7"), 82.1 cm of snow (32").
