Holy Trinity Parish's concern
for the rebuilding of St.Jude's Cathedral, Iqaluit, Nunavut
November 5, 2005 marks the date of the fire that led to the demolition of St. Jude’s Cathedral (Iqaluit, Nunavut).
With your support (along with others across Canada, U.S. & England) the Diocese of the Arctic has raised $2.4M over the past three (3) years to help rebuild our cathedral.
St. Jude’s Cathedral plays a significant role in the life of the Diocese. The cathedral church is the “mother church” to every parish in the Diocese of the Arctic. It is the church which contains the “throne” (called a cathedra, from which the Cathedral takes its title) or “official seat” of the Bishop of the Diocese; and, since the “cathedra” is one of the most important and oldest Episcopal insignia, it is known as the “mother church”.
Holy Trinity held an auction on November 21st at Northern United Place. It was very successful and we raised a little over $13,000. Our own Mose Butt entertained us before the auction and we all had fun! Praise the Lord for his guidance in this venture!

AVEN GRACE CONCERT (August 2007)
A benefit concert for St. Jude's was held at Holy Trinity in August of 2007 and those in attendance were treated to the wonderful talent of Aven Grace. Aven makes her home in Saskatchewan but was travelling to Iqaluit, NU as her father was once the Minister in Frobisher Bay. Pictured below: Aven Grace with our own Wayne Simms singing a duet.
