REGIONAL EVENTS
ARCTICNET TRAINING
We have the blessing of Fr Ron Barnes from Church Consulting Inc. visit Hay River and Yellowknife in August. Fr. Ron was accompanied by his wife Bev.
In both communities training classes were held for members of the church and in Yellowknife many hours were spent at the Diocesan Office working with Bishop Larry and Debra Gill.
Arcticnet is a communication system that the Diocese owns that allows each parish who wishes to communicate with itself and the rest of the diocese and world. Each parish connected to the internet can have a webpage and email at no cost to them.
As a diocese we have already made most diocesan forms available to the parishes at the touch of a button. Bishop Robertson has a webpage for the western region were he is begining to put up much information such as prayer letters and were much communication and teaching is available to those who are connected to Arcticnet. It is hoped that in the near future he will be able to offer some training courses for those interested.
